Johnny Cool Darwin is a leading provider of electrical, mechanical and HVAC services, supporting homes, businesses and critical facilities across Darwin and the Top End.

For many years we have been the first choice for air conditioning and electrical work in the Northern Territory, trusted for reliable workmanship, responsive service and solutions that actually stand up to the wet and the dry.

Today, Johnny Cool operates as part of the Millair Climate Control & Electrical group, combining local NT experience with the broader capability of a specialist HVAC and electrical contractor.

Our Story

Johnny Cool Darwin was established in 2009 with a simple focus: deliver quality, dependable electrical and HVAC services for Territory customers. Over time, the business grew into a specialist contractor, handling design, installation and maintenance for projects across commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

Based in Berrimah, we service all of the Northern Territory and the northern region of Western Australia. The team has a particular passion for remote work and is proud to support communities and sites that many others will not reach.

In 2023, long term employee and shareholder Leisha Armstrong became the owner of Johnny Cool Darwin. Her leadership has strengthened our systems, culture and customer experience, while keeping the business grounded in its original values of quality, inclusivity and genuine care for clients and staff.

In 2024, Johnny Cool Darwin joined the Millair Climate Control & Electrical group. This step has allowed us to tap into additional resources, systems and technical support, while continuing to operate as a strong, locally focused team in the NT.

Through all of this growth, our core purpose has stayed the same: to provide reliable, well designed electrical, air conditioning and power generation solutions that perform in real Territory conditions.

Our Approach

Working in the NT is different. High humidity, salt exposure, heat, long distances and seasonal demand all put extra pressure on buildings and equipment. Our approach is built around solving those real world problems, not just ticking a box on an installation.
